The Federation recognized Les Tourelles Cooperative for its contribution to the success and influence of the Milton Parc Community Neighbours' Day by awarding it the Lucia-Kowaluk 2022 Award. Richard Phaneuf, who initiated the project in 2011, and his wife Charlotte Thibault accepted the award on behalf of the cooperative.

The Lucia-Kowaluk Award was created by the member cooperatives at the 2019 annual meeting. It aims to highlight the commitment of a Federation member cooperative in the community through a project of a social, environmental or cultural nature. The project must reflect the 6th cooperative principle of intercooperation or the 7th principle of commitment to the community.

The project must reflect the 6th cooperative principle of intercooperation or the 7th principle of commitment to the community. It is intended to perpetuate the memory of Mrs. Lucia Kowaluk and to highlight her pioneering role and leadership in the Milton Parc Citizens' Committee, which succeeded in preventing the demolition of the neighbourhood and in transforming it into the largest cooperative and non-profit housing complex under a community land trust.
