Our coop

The cooperative was founded in 2008 and has been inhabited since 2010. It is located in Ahuntsic-Cartierville, next to a grocery store, a bus stop that leads to the Henri-Bourassa metro and de la Visitation Park. It is a democratic organization owned and run by its members according to the rule: one member, one vote.

Please note that all communications from the cooperative sent to its members are in French.

Information for the candidates

Before going any further in your efforts, it is important to understand how a co-op functions and the implications of living in a co-op. We invite you to visit the page Housing Co-operative.

We are looking for members who believe in the cooperative model and who wish to actively participate in all tasks necessary for the proper functioning of our community.
We are looking for responsible members who are serious in their efforts, who believe in the cooperative model and who wish to invest and actively participate in the tasks necessary for the proper functioning of our housing community in various administrative and manual tasks.

In your email, you must specify:

1st paragraph:

a) The number of people in the household.
b) The portrait of your family.
c) The approximate income of your household.

2nd paragraph:

The reasons that motivate you to live and become a member of our housing cooperative.

3rd paragraph:

a) Your relevant work and volunteering experiences
b) Your skills, knowledge and training in administration and management, finance and accounting, secretarial work, public relations, conflict resolution, manual work, maintenance and repairs.

Do not forget to give your main contact details: phone number, postal address and valid email address.

If your application meets our criteria and availability, an additional form will be sent to you.
Only successful candidates will be invited for an interview.

One bedroom : One person or a couple
Two bedrooms: 2 or 3 people except couple
Three bedrooms : 4 or 5 people
Four bedrooms : 6 people

INFORMATION SESSIONS ON THE HOUSING CO-OPERATIVE FORMULA
To help you better understand the functioning of housing co-operatives, FECHIMM also offers information sessions. These meetings allow you to learn about life in a co-operative and assess whether the co-operative formula meets your needs.

Registration fee : $15 per person. Registration fees must be paid prior to the information session.
