LA COOP DE MA MÈRE
A FILM ON LIFE IN A CO-OP
October 18, 2021Not to be missed, Ève Lamont's excellent film, La Coop de ma mère, is in theaters this week. The documentary, shot in the St-Louis co-op in Gatineau, tells the story of what led Rachel, the director's mother, to choose to live in a co-op. Ève Lamont picks up bits and pieces of the stories of her cooperating neighbors and, through scenes from their daily lives, her discreet camera paints a portrait of the ties that bind the cooperative.
If you are you a candidate, the film will interest you because it gives a glimpse of what awaits you in a co-op.
If you already live in a co-op, see how things are done elsewhere!
